WCET President's Welcome

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the World Council of Enterostomal Therapists (WCET) website. The WCET is an organisation focused on continuously improving care in the enterostomal fields of ostomy, wound and continence care. We know the difference that high quality care brings our patients and the WCET thanks you for your dedication and commitment to improving clinical practice in this vital arena.

As a WCET member you will enjoy many benefits, including the opportunity to attend the WCET Congress at a special member fee for registration, where you will learn about new products and techniques. The next WCET Congress is in Phoenix, Arizona, USA in 2010 and we look forward to seeing you there.

As a member of the WCET you will also have the quarterly WCET Journal delivered to your door. The WCET Journal is a significant document with features and editorials from your global peers, keeping you abreast of developments locally and worldwide. We invite member contributions to the Journal and would be delighted to review your submission should you wish to contribute to this highly recognised resource.

You may look to further your education or develop new clinical practices. We encourage you to apply for scholarships provided by the WCET charity arm, the Norma N Gill Foundation (NNGF). The NNGF has helped many around the world for over two decades and is dedicated to providing Enterostomal Therapy Nurses with basic and continuing enterostomal education. You will enjoy global networking opportunities with our international membership database.
